I'm from Wisconsin. Waaaay up north, next to Canada for the geographically challenged. Guess what - it's cold up there! After dealing with winters for 23 years, it was time to flee south - which landed me in Charleston for grad school. 2 years in Charlestn solidified by love of surf, sand and the South. After a brief sojourn to Berkeley, CA - I came to Savannah to work for Melaver, Inc in September 2005.
Been here ever since. Involved in whatever I can to further promote sustainability in the Creative Coast. Fortunately I get to do that for a living at Melaver, Inc. But outside of that - Founder/past prez of the US Green Building Council Savannah Chapter, GreenDrinks Savannah, SavannahRecycles - one of thr groups instramental to getting curbside recycling in Savannah, the Chatham Environmental Forum, board of Live Oak Public Libraries pushing for green libraries, cBETA, sustainability guru for Farmers Almanac TV, and a host of other things I cannot remember. And recently, I wrote my first book, Local Action: The New Paradigm in Climate Change Policy.
Blatant moment of self promotion:
